Who We Are & What We Do
YCAN is an international cooperation initiative designed to empower youth organizations across East Africa and Europe. The project builds institutional capacity to transform young people from passive stakeholders into active leaders of climate awareness and sustainable development.
The Core of the Project
The absolute focus is youth-led climate action. YCAN bridges the gap between youth potential and climate governance by equipping the next generation with the literacy, advocacy skills, and resources needed to drive environmental resilience in local communities.
How Objectives Will Be Achieved
Through a structured, four-phase strategy backed by practical, reusable tools:
-
Co-creation: Developing a Comprehensive Climate Toolkit and launching the digital YCAN Platform.
-
Capacity Building: Delivering blended training to equip youth workers as certified Climate Mentors.
-
Mobility: Organizing Afro-European youth exchanges for intercultural learning and project co-design.
-
Local Action: Implementing sustainable, community-based initiatives supported by mentorship and public authority dialogue.
